Great new owners! We are so happy to see this place returning to the place it used to be years ago. We have come up for the last 25 years snowmobiling and this place used to be the place to come eat. Unfortunately the last owners food quality was so poor we stopped going. We started to hear good things about the new owners and food so we decided to give it a chance-wow they did not disappoint the food quality was fantastic-pizza quality was excellent, burgers have been perfect. We just missed the main kitchen for dinner last night but was happy to see a late night menu with appetizers and pizzas- great chicken tenders. We will definitely be back and so glad to have a place on the Lake that treat you like family.

Stayed the weekend for utving with a group of 8. Had everything we needed to cook our own breakfast and dinner. Eagles nest was cozy with a nice view of the lake. Trails were pretty descent and nearby towns were very friendly. Root cellar bar restaurant was great. Great destination for summer or winter activities!

These people are great! They accommodated a reservation change due to a family emergency. This really meant a lot! My family and I will continue coming to the place as long as they are around. Very well kept and gorgeous resort. Highly Recommend!

Stopped in after a long weekend of snowmobiling and we treated ourselves to actual food.. Service was amazing and the food was decent... Just a couple suggestions though.. Probably don't serve the prime rib soaked in juices. Maybe have it on the side or something. Also, the broccoli was heavily salted. I just wanted the broccoli. If people want to salt it, they can add their own..other than that, everything was worth the trip to eat here

Last weekend at the lodge was exactly what you hope for when you head to the Upper Peninsula—warm, welcoming, and full of character. The place was clearly busy and at times stretched thin, but you’d never know it by the way the staff handled it. Everyone worked incredibly hard, stayed friendly, and kept things moving with a great attitude. That kind of effort doesn’t go unnoticed. The service was genuinely good across the board. The waitresses especially deserve a shout-out—attentive, upbeat, and full of that unmistakable Northern charm. And yes, the accents are real, and yes, they’re adorable. One waitress in particular really stood out. Even in the middle of the rush, she was kind, personable, and made us feel taken care of without missing a beat. It’s people like her that turn a busy weekend into a memorable one. You can tell this lodge is run by people who care. Hard-working staff, good service, and an atmosphere that feels authentic to the UP. We’ll absolutely be back.

This is a great place to stay on Lake Gogebic. Nice clean rooms including a suite with a hot tub! Did some one say Food? A supurb restraunt with salad bar. Pizza with homemade crust! You could even call it a Steak House! All the cuts including Prime Rib.... If you are a snowmobiler the parking is plentiful. And if your comming back after dark the flashing red beacon leads you home off the lake. Definitely visiting this 5 star stop again!
